Rasam Powder
Traditional tangy and aromatic blend.
Health & everyday wellness
- Pepper, cumin, and coriander are traditionally used to support digestion after meals.
- Tomato- or tamarind-based rasam is hydrating and light — a comfort when you want something warm without heaviness.
Whole spices roasted in small batches keep volatile oils intact; those aromas are part of what makes home-cooked rasam both satisfying and a gentle daily ritual for wellness.
Without chemicals
No artificial colours or chemical “boosters” — only roasted and ground ingredients, the way Sundaramma’s kitchen always did it.
Step-by-step in your kitchen
Step 1
Simmer the base
Cook tomatoes or tamarind extract with salt until tangy and soupy. Add a pinch of turmeric if you like.
Step 2
Season the oil
In a small pan, heat ghee or oil. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida until they splutter.
Step 3
Bloom the powder
Lower the heat, add Ojas Rasam Powder, and stir for a few seconds until fragrant — do not burn.
Step 4
Combine and finish
Pour the tempered spices into the rasam. Simmer 3–5 minutes. Adjust tang and salt; garnish with coriander.
